Born on: 19 Apr 1978 , Palo Alto, Californie , – BIOGRAPHY: James Franco began his career as an actor in 2000 on the TV series Freaks and Geeks before receiving a Golden Globe Award in 2002 for his performance as James Dean in the biographical film James Dean, directed by Mark Rydell. He was then Harry Osborn in Sam Raimi’s Spider Man trilogy (2002-2007). His acting talent was noticed in Gus Vant Sant’s Milk (2008), David Gordon Green’s Pineapple Express (2008), for which he received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor, and Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours (2010) for which he received Academy Award, SAG and Golden Globe nominations for Best Actor. Other notable film credits include Rupert Wyatt’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011), Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers (2012), Sam Raimi’s Oz the Great and Powerful (2013), and Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen’s The Interview (2014).
